LINDA GEORGE
Yesterday And You
(Lee Dresser - Robert A. Arvonio - Steve Goldman)
Australia 1973

Single on Image, B-side of Our Day Will Come (Nov 1973).
Single on Image, B-side of Give It Love (Dec 1974).

In 1974 Yesterday And You was included on Linda George's first album Linda. It was then released as the B-side of another single from the album, Give It Love (1974), an original recording of a Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil composition. That single was a follow-up to Linda George's biggest hit, Mama's Little Girl, also on Linda.

Soul influenced singer Linda George (also billed as Miss Linda George), formerly with Melbourne band Nova Express, went into session work after a successful solo career in the 70s. In recent years she has taught Voice at the Victorian College of the Arts.

Original version? US Copyright Office has this composition registered for these writers in 1971 and 1973 [link]. For now, I'll take this as ruling out Bobby Doyle's "Yesterday And You" (1969).
